Barbados Wedding Decor

Over the year, I have had the opportunity to do different types of wedding decor but this certainly ranks the highest as one of my best not because of the location but because of the process it took me to execute this job. I practically did the decor myself, the boss became the laborer, I set everything up myself, no staff to send around lol, it was just me and my ears.
The decor not only turned out beautiful but looks like pictures you find on the internet, I give kudos to the photographer Wale Ariztos for the beautiful pictures.
The couple from this wedding have turned out to be more than clients, or friends, they have turned family and count me as one of them and I appreciate them for this opportunity, may God bless your union abundantly in Jesus name. Amen.
Enjoy;

The bride and I picked the Mazanita tree together, it was glistering and beautiful

The details on the tree, and around it on the table. They all looks so easy and simple but it was work putting them together

The Beautiful cake table in the lounge

Table setting at the rotunda

Can you see the lacy overlay on the table, I had those made from Naija and took it along

I sprayed those Bar signs myself, omo come and see creativity, hehehehehe

The Baby breathe arrangement was done by the florist in Barbados, very pleasant lady

We had a beautiful sunrise ceremony, had to get up as early as 1am to do my own part of the decor. The Lanterns on the hooks was everything with the little candle light in them. I don't have a picture that captured that effect.

The first event we had was a barbecue that was meant to be at the beach but the rain kept threatening so the efficient planner decided we use the patio of the hotel and it was a good choice

My love for white knows no bounds after this event, everything was pure and divine.

Destination Wedding? Think Barbados

I had the opportunity of going to Barbados for work, a dear bride now turned sister and friend took me along to do her wedding decor. It was a beautiful opportunity for me to see and experience another part of the world, I will be posting pictures of the job and wedding in another post but this very one is about the beautiful Island of Barbados.

 Barbados is a much developed Caribbean Island known for the British influence that is still in evidence, with cricket, high tea, and driving on the left. Barbados is the Caribbean's most eastern island and is highly popular with UK visitors. It is one of the most beautiful islands with pure white sand and blue water beaches.

Barbados also offers sun, two seas and an indescribable richness of colour. The Island abounds with exotic locations and exciting history, while the extensive variety of culture, sports and activities make Barbados the gem of the Caribbean.

There are lots of beautiful resorts in Barbados;
Hilton Barbados

Sandy lane spa and resort

Sugar Cane Club Hotel & Spa

This is just to mention a few of the beautiful and affordable resorts and trust me some of these pictures are the ones i took personally not from the internet. There's loads of activities to be done in Barbados from Snorkel-ling, Jet skiing,

going on a boat cruise, the submarine, and tour bus. We went on the lovely Catamaran, It was a wonderful and fun experience

and sight-seeing as I did in Bridgetown, Shopping in Barbados is almost out of it as it's expensive but the food is good and tasty. If I start on Barbados I won't stop till I've written about 5 posts on it. So I won't bore you with my excitement about Barbados, a trial will convince you. Good enough you don't need a visa to visit but as a Nigerian with a green passport, you need a yellow fever card which you can obtain from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, you also need a visa for the country you will pass through to Barbados as there is no direct flight from Naija to this paradise. You can travel through England (the easiest route), USA, Dubai or even Canada. I'm sure there other countries you can also come in through.
Remember, when going to Barbados no matter your skin color, go armed with your sunscreen otherwise you come back as burnt as a charcoal, your sun hats, sun glasses and loads of swim wears. The Barbadian dollars is also at the rate of 2-1 to the Us dollars; forty Barbadian dollars = twenty US dollars.
