The Evolution of Decor

The Event industry in Nigeria has evolved over the years and it keeps growing with different innovations and creativity. The decor industry is not to be joked with right now, everyone wants to be the first to create something spectacular.
Gone are the days of simple satin chaircovers and table covers, then balloon decorations. Balloons weren't seen back then as a kiddies party element, I remember my sitster's wedding 14 years ago, we had lovely balloon decorations and I'm sure a lot people did use it back then.

We went from the basic balloon decor to the era of paper lanterns and  yes, paper lanterns took over, It came in different colors, sizes and shapes. it was used at every occasion, back then if you didn't have paper lanterns at your event it was almost a grievous offence.

After Paper lanterns, we became aware of flowers, started out with simple floral decor. the candles and floating petals also had their fair share of fame. Right now, dramatic is the order of the day, brides wants very tall centerpieces with large flower arrangements, floral wall on their stage (all thanks to the Mr & Mrs West),

Infact the reign of paper flower walls cannot be over flogged, it is the new innovation in the decor world and I'm sure it is here to stay as it is cheaper and usually more beautiful. You don't have to break an arm and a leg to do it.

I can't even begin to talk about lighting, I would have to do a whole post on that so bare with me that I won't be addressing it in this post. And oh crystals too, that will probably take more than two posts, lol..... All in all, the industry in Nigeria has blossomed to an enviable level to the rest of the world.
